Shoulder Rehab .. Is it Complicated ?
Shoulder rehab is complicated …
- stretching internal rotation
- stretching external rotation
- strengthening all 4 rotator cuff muscles
- making time for physical therapy
- doing your exercises at home
… OR is it ?? The Rotater helps by supplementing all these movements anywhere you take it. Here’s how one of our clients describes her shoulder rehab / Rotater experience.
Recommending the Rotater
“Dear Chris,
How embarrassing to find your email waiting to be answered since last fall.
Anyway, the answer to your question is that the Rotater was an enormous aid in my shoulder rehabilitation! Without it, I’m certain that I would not have gotten back as much of my external & internal rotation as I have.
No other exercise or exercise aid (band, door jamb, piece of broom stick, etc.) that my physical therapists had to offer could move my arm into the positions I needed to get into and leverage against in order to stretch my right shoulder like the Rotater.
I was so thrilled I told my physical therapist and my orthopedist about it. My ortho was impressed with my near perfect return of mobility in all directions – minus only about 5 degrees of external & internal rotation. He said he could tell by the results that I had been seriously adhering to the FOUR MONTHS (!) of P.T. he had prescribed (8 wks, then 4 more, then a final 4 – during which I had the Rotater to add to my regimen). He said he did not think I would have results this good if he had rushed in and operated, instead of letting me heal and stretch slowly AND with my dedication to the treatment plan.
I have since also recommended the Rotater to a friend in CA (not sure if he followed up or not), and will continue to recommend it to others in the future.
Thanks for your wonderful invention!”
Sincerely,
