Fitness Pro says, ” the Rotater is Awesome “
May 16, 2010
Recently, I had the opportunity to get the Rotater to Joey Atlas to use, evaluate and share with his clients. So, who is Joey Atlas?
- a health and fitness professional with a MS in Exercise Physiology
- the Amazon.com bestselling author of ‘Fatness to Fitness’ and several other successful programs
- former consultant to Pepsi-Cola’s Corporate Fitness Program
- inventor of the Atlas Gym Unit and his own organic fitness drink – Atlas Juice
Joey Atlas’ Response to the Rotater
“Just had a chance to take a close look at the Rotater. I must let you know – over the years I’ve been asked to evaluate many products and devices. Many have been ‘ok’ and a few have been great. I have to categorize the Rotater as awesome, plain and simple… And here’s why.
My experience in the rehab and fitness field has taken me many places and exposed me to many different people and programs. One of those being the golf and tennis crowd. Both in rehab and post rehab (performance).
I’ve always been big on proper shoulder conditioning. And developed my own protocols and ‘methods’ with tools that already existed. What the Rotater does is allow me to develop programs for clients – and, most importantly, give them one tool to allow them to continue with their program.
Adherence is a huge challenge in our field and anything that can get a patient or client to stick with their program when they go off on their own is absolutely priceless. The Rotater allows this to happen perfectly. It removes so many obstacles – and promotes long term results and improvements.
As an inventor and product developer myself, I must tip my hat to you in a big way for creating something so simple in concept yet so versatile in practice and valuable in terms of transitioning a client to doing their own training for long term performance and fitness.”
All the best,
Joey Atlas

Bodybuilders, Golfers, GIRD and the Rotater
March 24, 2010
I want to thank several people who are passionate about using the Rotater and spreading the word to their friends as well.
James DiMuzio – Bodybuilder and Personal Trainer
James is an accomplished bodybuilder and highly sought after personal trainer in San Diego. James was kind enough to include the Rotater in the intro of his recent video where he describes his back and hamstring training. Note – as you’ll see in this video, James is not afraid to lift some very heavy weights – and this is while dieting for his most recent competition!
Tanya Colucci – Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Performance Enhancement Specialist
Tanya is working with a new golf client who is training for the pro tour. Among the many areas Tanya is addressing is shoulder rotation mobility – and she’s chosen to use the Rotater to help her client’s internal and external shoulder rotation mobility!
After accessing her client’s physical condition (Overhead Squat Assessment, Single Leg Squat Assessment, Modified Squat Assessments, Thoracic spine mobility testing, shoulder ROM testing), Tanya has developed an extensive program to help her client reach his goal of becoming a professional golfer – here’s a link to her program & progress: GOLF: How to improve your swing! Part 1
Dr. Jeff Cubos – Strength and Conditioning Specialist, holds the International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma and is currently the ONLY chiropractic sports specialist in the Greater Edmonton Area.
Dr. Cubos is passionate about working with elite athletes and believes that knowledge is the key to sports injury management, athletic development and performance.
Dr. Cubos recently posted an article on his blog titled – Are You Sleeping on the “Sleeper” Stretch? In this article, Dr. Cubos questions the current practice of prescribing the Sleeper Stretch for athletes with Glenohumeral Internal Rotation Deficit (GIRD) of the shoulder.
Dr. Cubos includes several alternative glenohumeral positions that significantly stretch the posterior capsule of the shoulder. Two of these strategies include the use of the Rotater ( see pictures ).
I’m 68 and Love the Rotater
January 7, 2010
I was cleaning my office yesterday and found the following letter. It was written in long-hand and had been mailed to our office over a year ago. It reads:
“I am 67 years old and have done various execises (free wts., stretching, running, total gym) since I was 15. I started using the Rotater about 6 weeks ago and can’t believe how it has improved my range of motion in my shoulders. This is a fantastic device for any golfer.”
Chris Hastings – Hoover, Alabama
p.s. I tried sending this on your website and it didn’t work.
After reading this great testimonial, I dug around and found Mr. Hastings phone number and gave him a call to see if he would give us permission to publish his letter. We had a great conversation and Mr. Hastings said he’d be glad to let us use this letter – BUT we should make a couple of changes:
- Mr. Hastings is 68 years old now
- He has been using the Rotater for over a year
- He still uses the Rotater every night
- He loves the Rotater and still recommends it to any golfer.

Some people thought it was a record that would never fall. Count me as one of them. A 551 yard drive is incredible! How do you beat that?

Advances in technology are enabling us to push the limits of human performance. Thanks to Super Dave Osborne’s new club, “The Basher”, Mike Dobbyn is able to increase his world record to 620 yards! Sounds unbelievable, right? Fortunately for us, it was all caught on video.

Golfer takes the Rotater to the Course
October 13, 2009

Flexibility - Power - Distance
I am an avid golfer who at a very young age developed shoulder problems while playing baseball and lifting heavy weights in my youth. Until now, I have had to put up with the nagging stiffness and pain in my shoulders and my golf game has suffered for it.
I have been using The Rotater for several months now. When I first received The Rotater I was skeptical. It didn’t look like anything fancy or the next best thing to help my shoulder, but after watching the videos and learning the stretches, The Rotater now hangs near my bed for stretches first thing in the morning and it rides with me to the course for 20 minutes of stretching prior to hitting balls.
For the first time in a long time, I am actually completing my back-swings and getting through the ball for a fuller finish. My long irons and woods have now become a weapon in my bag instead of dead weight. My shoulder pain has all but disappeared due to my increase in strength. I will continue to use The Rotater for stretching as long as I am able to play golf, walk and breathe.
Thank you!

Review of John Izzo’s Shatterproof Spine DVD
October 5, 2009
Back injuries are debilitating! Unlike an injury to an extremity ( ie, arm, leg, ankle, hand, finger, etc ), you can’t work around a back injury. If you’ve hurt your back, then you know what I mean.
In 1981, I tried out for the basketball team at the junior college I was attending. On the last day of tryouts, I took a charging foul on a fast break and literally got knocked on my butt. Later that day at work, my back hurt so badly that I couldn’t perform my job and had to go home. The next day, a doctor’s examination along with a bunch of x-rays revealed three fractured vertebrae.
Fortunately, my back healed completely and I’ve never suffered any lasting pain or limitations – but not everyone is so lucky. Therefore, I was very happy to receive John Izzo’s new DVD – “SHATTERPROOF SPINE! How to Build an Athletic Low Back” to review.
John Izzo is:
- a Certified Personal Trainer ( NASM – the National Academy of Sports Medicine, ACE – American Council on Exercise, NESTA – the National Exercise & Sports Trainer Association )
- a Performance Enhancement Specialist – NASM
- a Nutrition Consultant – American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA)
This DVD was filmed in a “live” workshop setting. You feel like you’re part of the seminar with John speaking directly to you.
John works with a number of golfers and this dvd uses them to illustrate many of his points. Considering the the stresses and forces exerted on the spine during a typical golf swing, this makes perfect sense.
Some topics covered are:
- Why does your back hurt? Seems like a simple question, but the answers my surprise you
- What are the functions of the Spine?
- What are some of the stresses of the Spine?
- Muscles that can contribute to lower back pain
- Some things to avoid – did you know you could stretch AT THE WRONG TIME?
- “Hands-on” practical – John takes the time to illustrate exercises you can do to improve your lower back strength and explains how and why they work
Summary
Before watching “Shaterproof Spine”, I thought I had a good understanding of the spine - I WAS WRONG! Thanks to John, I’m more informed and can make better decisions about the health of my lower back.
John uses lots of graphics to illustrate his points. The graphic that really stood out for me was how weight gain over time affects your posture and limits the function of your spine. Nothing beats seeing this progression to make you want to get yourself into better shape.
Shatterproof Spine covers a tremendous amount of material in one hour and 30 minutes. At a cost of $25.00 it’s a “NO-BRAINER” – do your back a favor and get the DVD. Learn how to improve your low back strength and live your life without limitations.
Golfer Improves Shoulder Flexibility with the Rotater
September 1, 2009

Shoulder pain while sleeping is common and frustrating
“Back in 2007 I started experiencing pain in my right shoulder mostly at nights while sleeping. Being someone who loves to play golf this became a concern especially since several friends and my wife all had shoulder surgery.
I ended up seeing my doctor and found out I had bone spurs in my shoulder that were rubbing and irritating my rotator cuff. Of course after surgery there’s physical therapy. I was in physical therapy for about 2 months and everything went really well, but I wasn’t back to the same flexibility in my shoulder as before even though I continued to do the exercises.
At the Jan. 2008 PGS Merchandise show in Orlando, I was at the Rotater booth and listened to what Chris Melton had to say about the Rotater. Sounded interesting but I didn’t do anything at first.

Full shoulder turn with no pain
After wallking around the show for awhile, I decided to buy one and give it a try.
I’ve been using the Rotater nearly everyday now and my shoulder flexibility has improved and is greater than before the shoulder surgery. As a golfer this is important for generating distance and control.”

Glen Taylor swings with confidence - thanks to the Rotater
“The Rotater helps me by increasing my flexibility therefore giving me greater range of motion on my golf swings, boosting my confidence and trust of my swing and best of all adding more distance. I recommend the Rotater to any golfer or athlete whether they are professional or amateur.”

Long Driver Increases Shoulder Flexibility and Loses Shoulder Pain
July 9, 2009
“I’ve been using the Rotater every second day and use it while warming up before a round. I’ve been in AZ for the past month and had an interesting experience.
It was a long par 4, 485 yds. I hit driver – lob wedge. Usually I would have driver – 5 or 6 iron.
So the Range of motion increase and the flexibility was noticeable to me. I’ve also had less soreness in the shoulder where my old football shoulder separation was.
It seems that the Rotater is helping breakdown the scar tissue that gave the shoulder some of its stiffness and pain.”
Bob Orr, Long Drive Consultant
Stats for Bob Orr
- Longest drive in competition – 376 yards
- Longest drive ever – 408 yards – on the 10th hole at Industry Hills
- Winner Nitro National Senior Long Drive 1997
- Current age 61 years
- Average driving distance – a little over 300 yards
- Problem Calcium and scar tissue build up from former football shoulder separation had restricted my flexibility. The Rotater used daily for 6 months at 10-15 minutes daily alleviated the majority of my pain and increased my flexibility by 40% Plus.
Update from Bob
“Your Rotater has been the best rehabilitation for my shoulder. the old football injuries that gave me a stiffness has been relieved and my shoulder rotation for long driving the golf ball has been great. Not many 61 year old guys can get it out over 320 yds which I did last week at a charity event fundraiser for Lukemia.”
Disclosure: Bob was provided with a Rotater at no charge. His testimonial was voluntary and not required.
