Shoulder Tool is Effective for Gaining Range of Motion

July 29, 2009

“We have recently purchased a Rotater for our clinic. We have a large number of shoulder surgical cases, and we have found it to be an effective way to assist in gaining shoulder ROM (range of motion) for External and Internal rotation.

The Rotater has been effective for increasing internal & external rotation

The Rotater has been effective for increasing internal & external rotation

As most PT’s (physical therapists) and ATC’s (certified athletic trainers) know, the capsular pattern of ROM restriction for the shoulder include these two motions. It has been effective in the clinical setting, and we have also allowed patients to take it home with them for periods of time to use in their home exercise programs.”

Baseball Strength Coach Believes in the Rotater

July 28, 2009

“Hey Chris,

I just received the Rotater today and I am instantly convinced that every baseball player needs to have this tool in their arsenal!  Not only is it simple to use, it does exactly what you expect it to do with no learning curve.

A Valuable Tool for Every Baseball Pitcher

July 22, 2009

“I was recently in attendance at a sportsmedicine conference, and I happened to come across The Rotater, developed by Joint Mechanix, LLC. I was immediately intrigued by its design, and had Chris take me through its use.

"The Rotater would be a valuable tool to keep in the bag of every baseball pitcher"

"The Rotater would be a valuable tool to keep in the bag of every baseball pitcher"

Since I am the coordinator of athletic injury care for a large local school district, in addition to having a private practice specializing in rehabilitation, I immediately purchased one to try back at my office.

The Rotater has proved to be a valuable adjunct to use in caring for my shoulder patients. Whereas, teaching patients self-administered flexibility routines for the shoulder rotators has always been somewhat of a challenge, the easy to use Rotater now allows me to teach patients a simple and very effective way to perform self-stretching routines. Furthermore, I can now send them home with a device, and feel confident that they will continue to stretch in an appropriate manner.

The ability to connect exercise tubing also makes it an effective strengthening device. In addition, I believe that The Rotater would be a valuable tool to keep in the bag of every baseball pitcher. It would be a great adjunct to warmup and cooldown routines.

I want to commend Scott on a great design concept, and I look forward to continue using your device in my rehabilitation programs, as well as with my athletic teams. Great Job!”

Baseball Coach Praises Shoulder Stretching Device

Be proactive, prevent throwing injuries

Be proactive, prevent throwing injuries

The Rotater has exceeded all expectations I could think of prior to incorporating it into workout regimens during baseball training. Not only has it improved throwing mechanics, but also has improved the recovery time, and reduced injuries / soreness / inflamation from pitching and throwing practice sessions.

The Rotater is an excellent way to be proactive in injury prevention and i strongly recommend it to all sports medicine professionals and sports teams, at all levels, looking to safely enhance performance.

Athletic Trainer Amazed with Rotator Cuff Stretching Device

July 22, 2009

“When I saw you guys in Atlanta in 2006, I was fascinated by how this device (the Rotater) could provide such a good stretch of the rotator cuff. Usually if an athlete is going to try to stretch the R.C. (rotator cuff), they need another person to stretch it properly for them.

Shoulder flexibilty is essential for baseball players

Shoulder flexibilty is essential for baseball players

I, being a former baseball pitcher, found that it provided a quality stretch in which the athlete or person using it could determine how much or how little of a stretch they wanted.

During baseball season I showed it to several players and they found this tool useful in giving them the type of stretch they desired. We hope to use it with more teams this upcoming Fall 2008 season.”

Senior Baseball Player / Expert in Sports Medicine Uses Shoulder Stretching Device

Baseball player stretces his shoulder with the Rotater

“As a 20+ year player in The Mens Senior Baseball League and someone with a background in Sports Medicine I can attest to the benefit of using the Rotater in a comprehensive shoulder stretching program.

I use the Rotater after a general warmup which include calistenics and running 1/2 hour before game time. I then follow the recommended stretches outlined in the instructions and finish with general throwing and long toss.

The Rotater has increased my Range of Motion at the shoulder and reduced strain. Our pitchers have tried it and they like the specific stretch it provides at the shoulder girdle. Thanks for sharing the Rotater with our over 40 baseball players.”

Rehab Device Duplicates Physical Therapy Stretches

July 21, 2009

“I am a police officer who during a foot pursuit after a fleeing suspect injured my right shoulder. The diagnosis was a detached proximal bicep tendon and seriously damaged shoulder joint as well.

Fall contribute to many serious shoulder injuries

Fall contribute to many serious shoulder injuries

I underwent two procedures to attach the tendon and clean up the shoulder joint. As anyone knows who has had a shoulder surgery, the post op was very painful and the my range of motion almost nothing for the first month.

When I started to use the Rotater it was painful but I was able to use it all day everyday, slowly but surely increasing the force and range of motion. There was nothing else I could find that would duplicate the same kind of stretches my physical therapist was doing on me like the Rotater did.

I could only see my PT twice a week too. He told me that he was amazed at how quickly I got my range of motion back as well as my strength. When I went to see the surgeon for a post visit he was also amazed at how quickly I had regained the use of my shoulder. I was able to go back to full duty two months ahead of his projected schedule.

And as far as the customer service, I broke my Rotater from so much use and they promptly shipped me a new one no questions asked. I still use it today on both of my shoulders.

Thanks to the rotater I was able to get back to work and not lose the use of my shoulder in this demanding profession.”

Stretch your shoulder

Stretch your shoulder - the golf pros do!

“I was very glad that I stopped at your booth at the PGA show. The Rotater” has become as much a part of my morning as my cup of coffee.

It is easy to stretch out my shoulders from all directions to maintain my flexibility. Having had rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder in 2005 I know how important stretching is.

Thanks for a great product!!”

Neuromuscular Therapist makes Shoulder Rehab Device part of Shoulder Program

July 21, 2009

“Here at NPI our clientele are typically people who have seemingly been everywhere and done everything for their chronic pain conditions and have gotten nowhere. The biggest difference between what we do and what others do is getting the clients very active in their own recovery. We empower them through education to heal themselves with very specific home based “self care” programs.

Get pain relief with NPI

Until the Rotater, at home shoulder care was a difficult undertaking. Since we ran into the Rotater guys at the PGA Expo in Las Vegas our shoulder program has been unbelievable. We pride ourselves on “simple” solutions to complicated problems and…WITHOUT A DOUBT…the Rotater is the simplest yet most effective shoulder tool I have seen in 15 years of dealing with chronic pain. My clients thank you.”
