Shoulder rehab device is in the news
Kay, an avid motorcycle racer who has broken his shoulders three times, invented the rehabilitation and stretching device for shoulders.
After his last surgery, he wanted to speed up the rehabilitation process and found nothing available that could reproduce the sensations the he felt during physical therapy. He said that doctors and therapists encouraged him to patent the device after they saw what it did.
The device increases the shoulder’s range of motion by passively stretching the shoulder’s internal and external rotation. Kay said it increases the shoulder’s flexibility for sport-specific activities and can effectively warm up the shoulder before sporting events.

PGA Pro praises shoulder stretching device
As a PGA Professional, I have had many golfers come to me over the years looking to improve their games. Most come to me for a lesson as what they see as a last resort after many failed attempts to improve using the latest swing aid or magic club.
Kinesiology – the science of human movement
With a background and degree in Kinesiology, I have studied the motions of many different athletes in many different sports. Through my experiences I believe that many of these golfers that come to see me would see improvements in their games if they would simply improve their overall strength and fitness levels first, more specifically flexibility and range of motion, before concentrating solely on technique.
Fitness is the key
I feel limitations in the fitness areas are more directly responsible for plateaus and declines in ability for many golfers than are sudden losses of ability or improper technique. Fitness should play a more significant role in many players’ game improvement plans.

Do you want to hit the golf ball farther? Work on your shoulder turn
PGA Expo discovery
It was at the 2007 PGA Merchandise show in Las Vegas that I first picked up the Rotater and I have now been using it for 2 months and I am happy to say that I have experienced the benefits and improvements that I had hoped for.
By using the Rotater for only a few minutes a day, stretching my shoulder both internally and externally, I have been able to see a measurable difference in the range of motion in my shoulder. This has transferred over to a wider, more efficient and more powerful turn in my golf swing.
Better shoulder turn & more consistent ball striking
Having greater flexibility has allowed me to make a better turn with my shoulders without compensations, which has translated into creating greater consistency in my ball striking.
I always keep my eyes open for products that can truly help golfers in areas where I have seen some glaring deficiencies. Almost every golfer can benefit from increased range of motion in the shoulder joint to help them create wider, more powerful and more consistent swings, and the Rotater is the easiest and most effective product I have seen to achieve this task.

Shoulder rehab tool “is like having an extra pair of hands”
May 27, 2009
Hi, Chris and Scott,
You introduced me to your Rotater at the FPTA Annual Meeting in Daytona a few weeks ago. I have been using it with several patients over the past two weeks and found it to be a wonderful adjunct to their shoulder stabilization programs.
It is like having an extra pair of hands: while the patient slowly and deliberately works his shoulder into the targeted range with the Rotater, I am able to use both of my hands to control the scapula so that we develop the correct “scapulo-humeral ratio” – eliminating elevating the shoulder and other undesirable substitution patterns.
Patients relax while they are stretching – the only safe, effective way to stretch and feel in control of their stretching, gaining as much as a 50% increase to functional range of motion in just two weeks – therapist, patients and families are pleased with the results – the orthopedists will be also when check-up time comes. Thank you for your great tool!

Athletes are using the Rotater to stretch healthy shoulders
“Recently I ran into the inventors of The Rotater at the Florida Physical Therapy Association Convention in Daytona Beach. I wish that I had met them a couple years ago. The Rotater would have been beneficial to so many athletes that I have worked with.
I spent two years with the LSU volleyball and tennis programs as well as a year with the University of Louisiana of Lafayette volleyball and softball programs. With all of these teams playing overhead sports, I spent a lot of time stretching their arms and shoulders. If I had had the Rotater, then my time could have been freed up to work on other important things.
The athlete has total control of the stretch!
The nicest thing about the Rotater is that the athlete has total control of the stretch. Instead of me constantly asking if they were getting a good stretch, they can feel it and control it themselves.
I plan on sending the information about the Rotater on to professionals that I have worked with so that they can implement it in their programs.
On a personal note, I play a lot of volleyball and can now stretch my arm out before I get on the court. I used to stretch as much as possible, but it would still take the first game to feel really warm. Now I can get a great stretch before I even start a match!
Thanks guys for your help!”

Physical Therapist says, “the Rotater is more effective than doorway & towel stretches”
May 17, 2009
“Hi, I am Justin Spooner ,MSPT, I want say that using the “Rotater” on a regular basis has had a positive effect for many of my shoulder patients I see from S/P RTC (rotator cuff) Repair Surgery to Adhesive Capsulitis (frozen shoulder).

Chris demonstrates the Rotater to a physical therapist at the APTA conference
It is much more effective than the old doorway and towel stretches plus patient’s seem to be more motivated to do it at home than giving them these stretches.
It does a better job at isolating than anything I have come across and when it comes to shoulder impingement, etc, having good ER/IR (external rotation / internal rotation) is huge and very well could mean the difference in having surgery or not.”
